R A T I O N A L E

The Caraga State University (CSU) has institutionalized an annual Literary, Musical and Sports competition among students in its bid to promote a comprehensive mental and physical development among its students.

Now in its 5rd year of implementation in the academic year 2015-2015, in line competitions are that of Sports, Literary & Musical. The conduct of such competitions is aimed to forge stronger ties among students and their constituents towards promotion of excellence in the various dimensions of their academic life.

 O B J E C T I V E S

In consonance with the principle that the students’ cultural & sports program shall be a vehicle for the inculcation of positive Filipino values, the objectives of the Intramurals Celebration Sports ,Literary & Musical competition are the following:

1. Provide a venue for healthy competitions that require higher levels of performance for CSU students;

2. Provide opportunities of students and personnel to develop competencies to plan, manage and implement literary, musical and sports competitions;

3. Provide opportunities to develop the character of excellence and appreciation   for culture, aesthetic values, knowledge, understanding and socially desirable traits;

4. To provide opportunities for athletes, coaches to identify, recruit and train Athletes based on scientific coaching principles and practices, and thus, promote their professional growth and self-realization while they are engaged in the education of athletically talented college youth;

5. To provide opportunities for sports participation of CSU students of varying skills and talents, so that in the process of active participation, the “cream of the crop” will rise to the top and become the bearer of the university in the Local, Regional, and National sports competitions;

6. To promote the culture of peace and spirit of sportsmanship, camaraderie, fair play, peace and respect for others in order to help build character and consequently become people who will contribute to the making of a strong republic.
